In March 2014, Beryl Group, in association with Sovereignty Capital, hosted a “Uganda: Open for Business” symposium at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton. This one-day event aimed at highlighting the significant investment opportunities that have emerged in Uganda, East Africa’s third-largest economy, over the last few years.

These opportunities centre on the recent discovery of oil deposits containing between 2.5 and 6 billion barrels of oil.

In attendance at the symposium were Irene Muloni, Ugandan Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, and Daudi Migereko, Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, as well as representatives from their respective ministries.
